Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026 · Published by Blake Ealey

This Privacy Policy explains how LifeOS (“LifeOS,” “the app,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use it. LifeOS is an iPhone app published by Blake Ealey, currently offered as an early beta (including through Apple TestFlight). Because the app is still evolving, this policy may be updated as features change.

The short version: LifeOS is local-first. It has no accounts and no cloud — everything you create is stored on your device. It shows no ads, uses no trackers or analytics, and never sells your data. Questions? Email support@lifeosmobile.com.

About the current beta build. The version of LifeOS shipping today does not transmit your data anywhere. The coach runs entirely on your device, and photo-based meal scanning is not enabled. The AI features described below apply only if and when a cloud AI service is configured in a future build — and this policy will be updated to say so clearly before that happens.

No accounts, no cloud

LifeOShas no sign-up or sign-in. We don’t ask for an email address or create a user account, and there is no LifeOS server that stores your content. Everything you put into the app is kept in local storage on your device.

Information stored on your device

Depending on which features you use, LifeOS stores the following locally so it can work for you:

  • Your content and logs — tasks, planner events, habits, goals, school data (courses, assignments, grades, timetable), workouts, body-weight entries, manually logged meals and macro goals, reflections, focus sessions, and reminders you create.
  • Coach notes — short memories the on-device coach keeps to give more relevant suggestions, which you can view and delete in the app.
  • Preferences — settings such as your theme, appearance, and units (lb/kg).
  • A widget snapshot — a small amount of data shared with the LifeOSHome Screen and Lock Screen widgets, kept in the app’s own private on-device container.

You decide what to put into LifeOS. If you don’t use a feature, its information generally isn’t created. Standard iOS device backups (iCloud or Finder) are controlled by your own device settings, not by LifeOS.

AI coach and meal-photo analysis

In the current build, the coach runs entirely on your device and does not send your messages or data to any server. Photo-based meal scanning is not available in this build.

These features are designed so that a cloud AI service can be enabled in a future build. If that happens, using the coach or meal-photo scanning would send only the content needed for the request you initiate — for example, your coach message plus a short summary of your day, or a single downscaled meal photo — to a third-party AI provider to produce a result, and only when you tap Send or confirm a scan. Nothing would be sent in the background. Because that processing would involve a third-party provider, we cannot promise a photo or message is deleted immediately after processing; if and when AI is enabled, this policy will describe the provider’s handling and retention accurately. AI-generated results are estimates and may be wrong — use your own judgment, especially for health, nutrition, and safety decisions.

Camera and photos

LifeOS can ask for permission to use your camera or photo library so you can add a photo of a meal for the (future) meal-scanning feature. The app only accesses your camera or photos when you actively choose to add one. You can decline or later change these permissions in your device settings; the app works fine without them, and meal scanning is not enabled in this build.

Notifications

Notifications are optional and local to your deviceLifeOS schedules them on your iPhone and does not use a push server. They include things like a morning briefing, streak and deadline warnings, and reminders you set, and may contain the titles of your own tasks, assignments, or habits. You can turn them off in the app or in your device settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

LifeOS offers an optional LifeOS Pro subscription. Purchases, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. LifeOSdoes not receive or store your payment details and keeps no billing records of its own. (During the beta, subscriptions aren’t available for purchase yet.)

No advertising, no tracking, no analytics

LifeOS does not show advertising and does not use your data for advertising. It contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, sets no cross-app identifiers, and does not sell your personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Deleting your data

You’re always in control of your data. You can delete individual items in the app, and you can erase everything at once with Delete My Data (in the You tab, under the danger zone), behind a type-to-confirm step. That permanently removes your content, coach notes, preferences, scheduled notifications, and the widget snapshot from your device. Because there is no LifeOS account or cloud copy, there is nothing stored on a server for us to delete. Deleting the app from your iPhone also removes its local data.

Data retention

We keep the content you create for as long as you keep it in the app — it lives on your device until you delete it or remove the app. LifeOSdoes not retain copies on a server, because it doesn’t send your content to one.

Security

Your data is protected by your device’s own security (such as your passcode and iOS data protection). No app or online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security, but keeping your data on your device — with no accounts and no servers holding it — is a deliberate part of how LifeOS limits exposure.

Children’s privacy

LifeOS is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 are not our intended audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@lifeosmobile.com so we can address it.

Beta software

LifeOS is currently in beta, including through Apple TestFlight. Beta software is provided for testing and may change, and features described here may be added, removed, or adjusted as the app develops — including if and when cloud AI features are enabled, which would change what is described in the AI section above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we make changes, we’ll revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
